Sec. 122.003. EFFECTIVE DATE; CREDITORS' CLAIMS

(a) A disclaimer evidenced as provided by this chapter is effective for all purposes as of the date of the decedent's death.
(b) Property disclaimed in accordance with this chapter is not subject to the claims of a creditor of the disclaimant.
