Sec. 2054.005. SUNSET PROVISION

(a) The Department of Information Resources is subject to Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). Unless continued in existence as provided by that chapter, the department is abolished and this chapter expires September 1, 2013.
(b) The review of the Department of Information Resources by the Sunset Advisory Commission in preparation for the work of the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, is not limited to the appropriateness of recommendations made by the commission to the 82nd Legislature. In the commission's report to the 83rd Legislature, the commission may include any recommendations it considers appropriate.
