Sec. 13.004. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN MENTALLY ILL OR MENTALLY RETARDED PERSONS

(a) The Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation may transfer a mentally ill or mentally retarded person who is infected with tuberculosis to the Texas Center for Infectious Disease.
(b) The person may be transferred without that person's consent.
(c) The cost of maintaining and treating the person at the Texas Center for Infectious Disease shall be paid from appropriations to that hospital.
