Sec. 533.009. EXCHANGE OF PATIENT AND CLIENT RECORDS

(a) Department facilities, local mental health or mental retardation authorities, community centers, other designated providers, and subcontractees of mental health and mental retardation services are component parts of one service delivery system within which patient or client records may be exchanged without the patient's or client's consent.
(b) The board shall adopt rules to carry out the purposes of this section.
