Sec. 43.122. CERTAIN STRIP ANNEXATIONS PROHIBITED

A municipality may not annex for limited purposes any strip of territory, including a strip following the course of a road, highway, river, stream, or creek, that is, at its narrowest point, less than 1,000 feet in width and is located farther than three miles from the preexisting boundaries of the municipality, unless the area is annexed under Section 43.129.
