Sec. 117.053. CRIMINAL PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF CHAPTER AND RULES

(a) A person who intentionally violates this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter commits an offense.
(b) An offense under this section is punishable by a fine of not more than $25,000, confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a term of not more than five years, or both such fine and imprisonment.
