Sec. 134.180. CRIMINAL PENALTY FOR FALSE STATEMENT, REPRESENTATION, OR CERTIFICATION

  • (a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly makes a false statement, representation, or certification, or knowingly fails to make a statement, representation, or certification, in an application, record, report, or other document filed or required to be maintained under this chapter or under an order of decision issued by the commission under this chapter.

    (b) An offense under this section is punishable by:

    (1) a fine of not more than $10,000;

    (2) imprisonment for not more than one year; or

    (3) both the fine and the imprisonment.
