Sec. 352.103. EXAMINATIONS

(a) At least once a year, the department shall administer to applicants for certificates of registration a written qualifying spectacle dispensing examination and a written qualifying contact lens dispensing examination.
(b) The examinations shall be professionally constructed and validated and objectively administered and scored.
(c) A person who fails an examination may apply to take a subsequent examination. A person who fails two successive examinations may not apply to take a subsequent examination until the person completes remedial work required by the department.
