Sec. 454.207. LICENSE EXAMINATION

  • (a) The board shall examine each applicant for a license by written examination to test the applicant's knowledge of the basic and clinical sciences relating to occupational therapy, occupational therapy techniques and methods, and other subjects the board may require to determine the applicant's fitness to practice.

    (b) The board shall examine applicants for licenses at least twice each year at the board's regular meetings and under the supervision required by the board.

    (c) The board shall:

    (1) approve an examination for:

    (A) occupational therapists; and

    (B) occupational therapy assistants;

    (2) establish standards for acceptable performance; and

    (3) have the written portion of the examination validated by an independent testing entity.

    (d) The board shall give reasonable public notice of the examination in accordance with its rules.
