Sec. 502.257. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE

The board shall issue a license as a licensed marriage and family therapist associate or licensed marriage and family therapist, as appropriate, to an applicant who:
(1) complies with the requirements of this chapter;
(2) passes the licensing examination, unless the board exempts the person from the examination requirement; and
(3) pays the required fees.
