Sec. 505.305. RECOGNITION OF SPECIALTY; ISSUANCE OF ORDER

  • (a) The board shall recognize a social worker as qualified for the practice of a specialty area of social work if the social worker satisfies the recognition requirements established by the board and the board determines that the person is worthy of the public trust in performing services within the scope of the specialty area.

    (b) The board shall issue an order of recognition of specialty to a social worker who is recognized as qualified for the practice of a specialty area of social work. The order of recognition of specialty evidences the state's recognition of the social worker as a specialty social work practitioner under the identification or title designated by the board.
