Sec. 1602.305. SPECIALTY SHOP LICENSE

(a) A person holding a specialty shop license may maintain an establishment in which only the practice of cosmetology as defined in Section 1602.002(a)(2), (4), (7), (9), (10), or (12) is performed.

(b) An application for a specialty shop license must be accompanied by the required inspection fee and:

(1) be on a form prescribed by the department;

(2) contain proof of the particular requisites for a specialty shop as established by the commission; and

(3) be verified by the applicant.

(c) The applicant is entitled to a specialty shop license if:

(1) the application complies with commission rules;

(2) the applicant pays the required license fee; and

(3) the applicant has not committed an act that constitutes a ground for denial of a license.
