  • (a) A claim may be presented to the guardian of the estate at any time when the estate is not closed and when suit on the claim has not been barred by the general statutes of limitation. A claim of an unsecured creditor for money that is not presented within the time prescribed by the notice of presentment permitted by Section 784(e) of this code is barred.

    (b) A claim against a ward on which a suit is barred by a general statute of limitation applicable to the claim may not be allowed by a guardian. If allowed by the guardian and the court is satisfied that limitation has run, the claim shall be disapproved.
