Sec. 844. PROPERTY HIRED OR RENTED RETURNED IN GOOD CONDITION

  • All property that is hired or rented, with or without a court order, shall be returned to the possession of the guardianship in as good a condition, reasonable wear and tear excepted, as when the property was hired or rented. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the guardian of the estate to see that the property is returned as provided by this section, to report to the court any loss, damage, or destruction of property that is hired or rented under this chapter, and to ask for authority to take action as is necessary. If the guardian fails to act as required by this section, the guardian and the sureties on the bond of the guardian shall be liable to the guardianship for any loss or damage suffered through the fault of the guardian to act as required under this section.
