Sec. 3814.109. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

  • (a) The district may establish and provide for the administration of one or more programs, including programs to loan or grant public money or provide district personnel or services, to:

    (1) promote state or local economic development; and

    (2) stimulate business and commercial activity in the district.

    (b) For purposes of this section, the district has all of the powers and authority of a municipality under Chapter 380, Local Government Code.
